How to create a campaign?

Pick a holiday template, choose your effects and go live.

πŸ“Œ What is a campaign?

A campaign is one set of effects for one occasion β€” for example, Christmas 2026 with snowfall, string lights and a sale bar with a countdown. Each campaign has its own dates, pages and audience.

πŸ› οΈ Steps to create a campaign

Step 1: Open Campaigns

In the app, go to Campaigns and click Create campaign.

Create campaign button on the Campaigns page

Step 2: Choose a template

Under Template, pick an occasion. The template turns on matching effects, fills in the artwork, the bar message and a countdown, and sets the dates of the next season for you.

Holidays

Christmas, Halloween, Valentine, Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Father's Day, New Year, Easter, Ramadan, Eid, Diwali

Sales

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Singles' Day 11.11, Summer sale, Back to school

Start from scratch

No template β€” turn on only the effects you want.

β†’ Each tile shows the dates you'll get, e.g. Christmas β†’ Dec 1 – Dec 26. You can change them later in Schedule & trigger.

Switching template later replaces the artwork, colours, which effects are on and the campaign dates. Your own campaign name and bar message are kept.

Step 3: Choose your effects

Below the templates, the Elements card lists the 8 effects. Turn each one On or Off, and click a card to open its settings.

A promo message, coupon, button or countdown across your store.

Snow, confetti, leaves or festive artwork falling over the page.

Festive trim on the edges of the page.

A trail that follows the pointer, or a seasonal pointer image. Desktop only.

A celebration burst when a product is added to cart.

Themed background audio with a floating player.

Animated messages and favicon while shoppers browse another tab.

A seasonal back-to-top button once shoppers scroll.

An effect that is Off keeps its settings β€” shoppers just don't see it.

Step 4: Check the preview

The Preview on the right shows your effects on a sample store. Switch between Home and Cart, or click Open desktop preview for a full-size view.

β†’ The preview shows your effects only. Schedule, trigger and targeting rules apply on your real store.

Step 5: Set the schedule and targeting (optional)

  • Schedule & trigger β€” dates, days & hours, when effects start, and priority. See Schedule & Trigger.

  • Targeting β€” pages, shoppers, markets and devices. See Targeting.

Step 6: Create

Click Create (top right). The campaign becomes Active right away β€” or Scheduled if its start date is in the future. Its effects appear on the storefront only when the app embed is enabled.

Nothing is saved until you click Create. After that, use the Save bar to save changes β€” and edits to an active campaign go live instantly.

Header tools

  • Rename (pencil icon) β€” name your campaign. Only you see the name.

  • Undo / Redo β€” step back through your changes (⌘/Ctrl + Z, ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + Z).

  • Activate / Deactivate β€” switch the campaign on or off. See Manage campaigns.
