Enable the app embed

Turn on the AWE app embed in your theme so effects can show.

Nothing the app does reaches your storefront until the app embed is on in your theme. It's a one-time step right after installing.

🛠️ Steps

In the app, go to Home. In the Setup guide, open Turn on the app embed and click Turn on app embed.

→ You can also click Activate on the "AWE Seasonal Effects is not activated yet." banner.

Click Open theme editor. Your live theme opens in a new tab, on App embeds.

Turn on AWE Seasonal Effects.

Then click Save (top right).

Return to the app tab — the status updates on its own and the step is ticked.

The app checks your published theme. If you switch to a new theme, turn the app embed on in that theme too.

Home shows the banner "AWE Seasonal Effects is not activated yet."
Campaigns shows "Nothing is showing on your storefront" and an Embed required button.
The editor Preview says "App embed is off — a real shopper would see none of this".

A campaign can say Active while the embed is off, but shoppers see nothing. Click Activate (Home) or Turn it on (Campaigns) to fix it.
